Our Story
Pup on the Go started with a simple observation: not every dog is suited to the traditional daily walk. Some dogs find busy parks overwhelming. Some pull too hard on the lead to get real, consistent exercise. Others struggle with anxiety, reactivity, injury recovery, or just don’t cope well with unpredictable outdoor environments. And for their humans, that can turn what’s meant to be a calm daily routine into something stressful or inconsistent.
The idea for Pup on the Go came from wanting a better middle ground, a way to give dogs structured, safe exercise without the chaos of the outside world. Inside our mobile van is a purpose-built dog treadmill (we call it a slatmill) designed for controlled, low-impact movement. It allows dogs to walk or jog at a steady pace, fully supervised, in a calm environment tailored to their comfort and fitness level. There’s no rush, no distractions, and no pressure, just steady movement that supports both physical health and mental wellbeing.
What we found early on is that many dogs actually thrive in this kind of environment. Nervous dogs relax once they understand what’s happening. High-energy dogs finally get a consistent outlet. And owners often feel a sense of relief knowing their dog is getting quality exercise, even on busy or unpredictable days.
Pup on the Go isn’t here to replace the bond of a walk or the joy of the outdoors. It’s here to support dogs who need something different, or something more consistent than the traditional walk can offer. We bring the gym to your driveway, so your dog can move better, feel better, and live better, one session at a time.
Our journey has been anything but ordinary.
As advocates for safer, more structured canine exercise, we’ve remained committed to a simple belief—dogs deserve movement that is calm, controlled, and tailored to their individual needs.
Pup on the Go was created as a considered alternative to traditional dog walking, focusing on consistency, safety, and wellbeing in every session.
